THE REFEREE

Foul Detection

EXCELLENT

During the first half, Andre's foul detection was excellent. He tried to let the little things go but when he felt he needed to give a foul then he did. His consistency throughout the half was also excellent. In the first half Andre gave 7 free-kicks with one being supported by a flag from his assistant. Andre's foul detection carried on in the second half on the second half with another 13 free kicks in the second half with not much complaint about any of them.

Positioning

EXCELLENT

Positioning was superb throughout the first half being able to spot the little infringements that are a foul. Andre's superb positioning also carried on throughout the second half allowing him to have a fairly easy game to manage.

Man Management

 GOOD

During the first half Andre's man management wasn't always at his best. When marking out a wall he tended to use his whistle to ask them to move back instead of using his voice.

Card Issuing

 GOOD

Two yellow cards for Andre to give out tonight. The one for Hull #20 was correct in the 76th minute after a very cynical tackle. The other yellow card seemed to be pretty correct as well to Brighton #25 in the 90th minute.

Fitness

 GOOD

Andre's fitness was good which meant he could be in the right position throughout the game however I think 2 games in a couple of days might of meant his fitness was not at it's best.

THE ASSISTANT REFEREES

Assistant 1 - EXCELLENT [9.0]
Assistant 2 - GOOD  [7.0]

Marc Perry had a fairly steady night whilst supporting the referee in giving a couple of free-kicks as well. Ian Hussin had not such a good night with Hull's second goal potentially being offside and then in the second half he incorrectly flagged a Brighton player offside. However, he also did support Andre well with infringements in and around he credibility area.

OVERALL

VERY GOOD

SCORE

8.5/10
